Frequently Asked Questions
How does deal registration work, and how is it protected?
Every deal registration is processed by your Channel Business Manager (CBM). Once you submit a DR, all stakeholders are notified, and you have 15 days to schedule a meeting on the account. If no meeting is set in that window, the lead opens up to others, with stakeholders notified at the 15- and 30-day marks.
Once a meeting is confirmed and the DR is approved, the lead converts to an opportunity assigned to your Torq AE, and your registration protects that deal for 90 days from the original submission date. You’ll get a heads-up at 75 days before expiration, and the DR can be extended for another 90 days with your Torq AE’s approval.
What's the difference between Resell, Resell + Services, and MSSP paths?
It comes down to how much of the customer relationship you own:
- Resell: You sell the Torq AI SOC Platform and bring the customer relationship and sales motion.
- Resell + Services: Everything in Resell, plus you deliver (and earn on) implementation and services for the customer.
- MSSP / MDR: You resell, manage, and service the platform as part of your own security offering, running it on behalf of your customers.
How quickly can my team get certified?
As fast as your team can complete the courses — they’re self-paced, so there’s no waiting on a cohort:
- TSR101 (Sales Rep): 1 hour
- TPSA201 (Solutions Architect): 2.5 hours
- TPSA202 (Solutions Architect): 3.5 hours
What co-marketing and MDF investment is available?
We don’t run a formal MDF program today, but we still invest in our partners’ marketing. Bring us the initiative you want to get going — campaigns, events, co-branded content, field activity — and we’ll work with you to make it happen.
Do you support white-label and multi-tenant deployments for MSSPs?
Currently, no white-label tenant features are available. This is a roadmap item. Yes, Torq is highly multi-tenant-capable.
What are the requirements to qualify for the REV program?
None beyond a simple reseller agreement.
How are renewals and multi-year deals compensated?
Torq respects partner incumbency during renewals. Partners are compensated once Torq receives payment. If a multi-year payment is made upfront, the partner is also compensated upfront.
Can I move between partner paths as my business grows?
Yes, it is easily achievable. There are no partner tiers. Partners make investments with Torq on their own schedule.
What's the support model during a customer escalation?
Torq provides direct support for resell deals. For MSSP deals, Torq is available 24/7/365 to support our partners.
